Subject: Update on Eleven Days in the BUSH

WOW! Eleven days have just flown and the U.S. team has left but not without a powerful impact on Freedom House Ministries property site at Jera.  There were 8 from America, 6 from Kenya, 2 from Germany, myself and 8 more who we hired to assist us every day.... Because of all these who labored tremendously, the property has been transformed from a run down bug infested, termite eaten, bat cave, into a house that will soon be liveable once again!  During the time on the property many villagers came and wanted to visit or watch as the house became a real place once more. One day, I invited all the Pastors to come for supper before the evening meeting.  We fed around 40 including all the staff and workers.

The enemy fought us almost daily but GOD won the victory every time!

The meetings at night were successful even though the rain came, I was drenched to the bone and the movie projector did not work 2 nights.....

Souls were touched and many gave their hearts to the Lord... the first night over 40 came forward.  On Sunday morning the U.S. team and I ministered to over 400 children that the local Pastors had sent to one location.  Many prayed the prayer of salvation and on Sunday evening, I had the guys show the "Passion" film on the property for the locals, mamas who could not walk to the village center....  I had over 350

people around the house and on the front porch.   When it was over not a

soul said a word but there was a holy hush on the grounds. During the week of work, the ministry also experienced a financial miracle that allowed us to buy many more supplies that are needed to complete the house.  However, There is still a need for a big generator ($ 550), three water tanks (1 -10,000 liters...approx $400 and 2 small ones....$150 each) plus a 4-wheel drive Toyota vehicle to get in and out of the property.  Thank goodness we had a huge truck with giant wheels or we would have been stuck going in and out to th e villlage center each evening...

So many good missionary friends from Eldoret offered different tools, necessities and foam mattresses for everyone to sleep on, even a tent that kept 3 of us ladies out of the "bat" infested house.  Thank goodness.

Today, as I recover in Eldoret, the workers are weeding the fields in Jera and putting the Top Dressing on each corn stalk.... go figure!  The last field was planted last week and will need to be weeded very soon because of the heavy rain every day.  On and on it goes... so if you know others who would like to assist us... please send them to the www.freedomhmin.org <http://www.freedomhmin.org/>  web site.  I will post pictures on my facebook page because it is so much easier from here to do that quickly.  KEEP those Prayers going up because it is GOD'S time NOW for this ministry to move ahead.  God Bless each of you for all you do and your faithfulness to helping children in another country.
